What should I wear and bring for the Galveston Bay boat tour?

Accepted Answer

Dress as you would for a casual active afternoon or evening in South Texas. Wear flat, non-marking shoes. Any kind of high-heel or raised shoe is not a good idea so please don’t wear them. BTW -everyone already knows you are short, we’re fine with you just the way you are! Pack sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and lotion-based sunscreen (please, no staining spray sunscreens). Bring your camera or smartphone to capture Galveston sunset cruise photos or marine wildlife.

Are your private boat tours in Galveston kid-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Children are more than welcome, at least at the start... how we feel about that at the end of the trip depends on your kid and you! Children count as full passengers. For children under 12-years of age we ask that they wear a water ski jacket type jacket which we supply. USCG has a recommendation against infants of less than 18 months due to inconsistencies of how the life jackets fit them.

Is the TSC Jeanne Marie safe for families?

Accepted Answer

That depends on the family. Kidding aside, our catamaran is a stable sailing platform and we don’t heel over like monohulls do. Our vessel has a 3-tier railing system that is very rare (actuallyunheard of) on a vessel of this size.

Are your boat tours accessible for individuals with mobility challenges?

Accepted Answer

The TSC Jeanne Marie is not fully ADA Compliant, however we strive to make our boat as accessible as possible. Please let us know at the booking of any mobility issues so we can do our best to accommodate you. Our crews are trained to assist passengers in any way they can.

Are these private party excursions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All of our outings are single private events. Whether it is a single passenger or up to 12 passengers, you will have the boat to yourselves.

Do we need reservations?

Accepted Answer

Put simply, yes. You can easily book your charter through this website here. In a pinch, text us, though! We don’t do a walk-up business but if we are available, we will try to accommodate you.

Question 7

Can we bring our own food and alcohol on the sailboat?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can bring what you like. If it’s legal in Texas it is ok with us. Glass is ok but be careful. We don’t have heating, grilling or cooking facilities aboard. We do cater hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie boards and can facilitate getting beer, wine or champagne.

What is the weather cancellation policy?

We monitor the weather closely. Be aware the weather north or south of Galveston can be notsailing weather while here it is fine. In the event of poor weather conditions, when our captaindetermines situation is not safe to leave the dock, we will attempt to reschedule. If that is not possible you will receive a full refund.

What about other cancelations?

If you cancel within 48 hours of a booking expect that we will not refund your deposit.

Does the charter sailboat have a restroom on board?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The TSC Jeanne Marie has a large clean private bathroom with an electric toilet and sink.

Do you provide a cooler and ice?

Accepted Answer

No. We have a built-in refrigerator that you are welcome to use. We do not supply ice, but we have cold water available.

Yes. We will do everything we can to accommodate you!

The TSC Jeanne Marie departs from the private dock located at 1001 Bamar Ln, Galveston, TX 77554, only 10 minutes from the Historic Stand Downtown District and the Seawall Beaches. Free parking is available right at the dock!
